Job Description
A leading organization is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee international logistics, shipping, and trade operations in Dubai. This role is ideal for a highly organized professional with extensive experience managing large-scale freight movements and coordinating global shipping activities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient logistics operations, maintaining strong relationships with shipping partners, and managing high-volume container movements, particularly across Africa-to-global trade routes. This is an excellent opportunity for a results-driven logistics professional to take on a strategic leadership role.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily logistics, shipping, and international trade operations. Manage high-volume container shipments while ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery. Coordinate Africa-to-global shipments and optimize international freight operations. Build and maintain strong relationships with global shipping liners and logistics partners. Develop effective shipping and trade planning strategies to improve operational efficiency. Monitor shipment performance, resolve operational challenges, and ensure service quality. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support smooth supply chain operations.
Requirements
8–10+ years of relevant experience in logistics, shipping, and trade operations. Proven experience managing more than 300 containers per month. Strong experience handling Africa-to-global shipment operations. Established relationships with global shipping liners. Experience in shipping, trade planning, and international logistics. Excellent leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
