Job Details

  • MEP Project Execution

    • Assist in planning, coordinating, and monitoring MEP installation activities at project sites.

    • Coordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, firefighting, and associated MEP works as applicable to the project.

    • Review approved drawings, specifications, method statements, material submittals, and project requirements.

    • Coordinate with MEP engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, consultants, and other project disciplines to ensure smooth execution.

    • Monitor site progress against project schedules and support timely completion of MEP activities.

    • Ensure MEP works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, project standards, and applicable authority requirements.

    • Identify site constraints, technical issues, and material requirements and coordinate appropriate solutions.

    • Support inspection, testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.

    • Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspections, approvals, and closure of observations and NCRs.

    Store & Material Management

    • Manage day-to-day site store activities, including receipt, inspection, storage, issuance, and preservation of MEP, civil, and electrical materials.

    • Verify materials against LPOs, delivery notes, approved material submittals, drawings, and purchase requirements.

    • Maintain accurate inventory records, bin cards, ERP entries, and material movement documentation.

    • Ensure materials are issued only against approved Material Requisitions (MR) and maintain complete traceability.

    • Maintain documentation including GRNs, MRs, MIRs, delivery challans, test certificates, inspection records, and return notes.

    • Ensure proper stacking, segregation, identification, and preservation of materials.

    • Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and coordinate replenishment requirements with procurement and project teams.

    • Maintain segregation of approved, rejected, surplus, damaged, and returnable materials.

    • Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconcile inventory with system records.

    • Ensure proper storage and preservation of sensitive MEP and electrical equipment, cables, fittings, tools, and consumables.

    • Coordinate with QA/QC to ensure materials are inspected and approved before release for installation.

    Project Coordination

    • Coordinate with procurement and planning teams to ensure timely availability of materials as per project schedules.

    • Work closely with MEP engineers and construction teams to understand upcoming material requirements.

    • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers regarding material deliveries and site requirements.

    • Support preparation of material status reports, inventory reports, MEP progress reports, and project dashboards.

    • Assist in resolving material shortages, delivery delays, and site coordination issues.

    • Participate in project coordination meetings and provide updates on MEP and material status.

    HSE & Quality

    • Ensure compliance with company, project, client, and UAE HSE requirements.

    • Maintain safe working and storage practices for MEP and construction materials.

    • Ensure proper handling, lifting, transportation, and storage of heavy and sensitive equipment.

    • Support implementation of approved method statements, risk assessments, ITPs, and quality procedures.

    • Coordinate with HSE and QA/QC teams to close safety and quality observations.

    • Maintain good housekeeping and safe access within MEP work areas and site stores.

    Team Management

    • Supervise MEP supervisors, storekeepers, helpers, and other assigned personnel as required.

    • Allocate daily activities and monitor team performance and productivity.

    • Train store personnel on material handling, documentation, inventory control, and safety procedures.

    • Ensure compliance with company procedures and project requirements.

    • Support performance monitoring and development of team members.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Qualifications

    • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, MEP Engineering, Civil Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.

    • Additional certification in MEP, Stores, Inventory Management, Supply Chain, or Project Management will be an advantage.

    Experience

    • 8–12 years of relevant experience in MEP construction, project execution, site stores, material management, or infrastructure projects.

    • Experience in power projects, substations, electrical infrastructure, EPC, or large-scale construction projects is preferred.

    • Strong experience in handling MEP/electrical materials and site store operations.

    • UAE/Dubai project experience is preferred.

    • Experience with DEWA, TRANSCO, or similar utility projects will be an advantage.

    • Candidates with combined MEP and project-store/material management experience are preferred.

    Technical Skills

    • Good knowledge of MEP systems and construction activities.

    • Understanding of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, firefighting, and associated MEP materials.

    • Knowledge of power/substation project materials will be an advantage.

    • Strong understanding of material receipt, inspection, storage, preservation, issuance, and reconciliation.

    • Knowledge of LPO, GRN, MR, MIR, delivery challans, material inspection, and test certificates.

    • Knowledge of inventory control, FIFO, stock reconciliation, and material traceability.

    • Working knowledge of ERP/SAP inventory management systems.

    • Proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office applications.

    • Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, specifications, BOQs, and material submittals.

    • Knowledge of HSE and quality requirements applicable to construction and MEP projects.
