Assist in planning and executing MEP activities for power projects, substations, control buildings, utility buildings, and associated facilities.
Review approved MEP drawings, specifications, shop drawings, equipment layouts, method statements, ITPs, and technical documentation.
Supervise installation of HVAC, ventilation, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, fire alarm, and other MEP systems.
Coordinate MEP activities with civil, structural, electrical, architectural, and other project disciplines.
Ensure MEP works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, project schedules, and applicable standards.
Assist in reviewing MEP shop drawings, material submittals, technical submissions, equipment schedules, and vendor documentation.
Coordinate with Procurement and Store teams to ensure timely availability of approved MEP materials, equipment, and consumables.
Supervise subcontractors and specialist contractors and monitor their manpower, productivity, workmanship, and compliance with project requirements.
Monitor daily MEP progress and report actual progress, delays, constraints, and resource requirements to senior management.
Assist in preparing work plans, look-ahead schedules, manpower requirements, and resource plans.
Coordinate with consultants, clients, suppliers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to resolve technical and site-related issues.
Review and follow up RFIs, technical queries, inspection requests, and site instructions related to MEP works.
Coordinate MEP services to avoid clashes with civil, structural, electrical, and architectural elements.
Supervise installation of HVAC equipment, ductwork, chilled water/refrigerant piping, ventilation systems, pumps, tanks, plumbing fixtures, drainage networks, and associated equipment as applicable.
Assist in installation of firefighting systems, fire pumps, fire tanks, sprinkler systems, hydrants, hose reels, fire alarm systems, and other life-safety systems.
Monitor installation of emergency lighting, small power, control interfaces, BMS interfaces, and other associated building services.
Coordinate with electrical teams for power supply, control wiring, equipment connections, and integration of MEP systems.
Assist in pressure testing, flushing, cleaning, testing, balancing, functional testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning of MEP systems.
Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspections, testing, approvals, and closure of NCRs, punch points, and quality observations.
Conduct regular site inspections to verify workmanship, installation quality, and compliance with approved drawings.
Ensure MEP materials and equipment are installed according to manufacturer recommendations and approved technical requirements.
Monitor MEP material consumption, manpower, equipment utilization, and subcontractor performance.
Assist in quantity verification, BOQ review, material take-offs, variations, and additional works.
Identify technical, construction, procurement, and interface risks and escalate issues for timely resolution.
Ensure compliance with project HSE requirements, risk assessments, permit-to-work procedures, and safe working practices.
Participate in technical coordination meetings, progress meetings, site inspections, and client/consultant discussions.
Prepare daily and weekly progress reports and maintain MEP engineering and construction records.
Maintain approved drawings, inspection records, test reports, material certificates, commissioning documents, and as-built information.
Assist in snagging, rectification, testing, commissioning, and final handover activities.
Provide technical support to supervisors, technicians, subcontractors, and site personnel.
Support continuous improvement in MEP installation quality, productivity, safety, and project execution.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, MEP Engineering, or a related discipline.
Typically 3–7 years of relevant MEP engineering/construction experience, preferably in power, EPC, infrastructure, industrial, or large-scale construction projects.
Good knowledge of HVAC, ventilation, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, fire alarm, and associated building services.
Experience in MEP installation, site supervision, testing, commissioning, and handover.
Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, layouts, schematics, specifications, equipment schedules, and technical documentation.
Good understanding of multidisciplinary coordination with civil, structural, electrical, and architectural teams.
Knowledge of applicable international standards, UAE regulations, authority requirements, and MEP codes.
Experience coordinating with subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and project teams.
Understanding of QA/QC procedures, ITPs, inspection requirements, method statements, and testing processes.
Good understanding of project planning, scheduling, resource management, and construction methodologies.
Proficiency in MS Office and relevant engineering/design software.
Strong communication, coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet project deadlines.
UAE/GCC project experience is preferred.
