Supervise daily civil construction activities and ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements.
Supervise excavation, earthworks, backfilling, compaction, foundations, reinforcement, formwork, concrete works, masonry, structural works, roads, drainage, utilities, and finishing activities.
Coordinate with Civil Engineers, QA/QC, HSE, surveyors, MEP teams, subcontractors, and other site personnel.
Read and interpret civil drawings, layouts, shop drawings, specifications, and construction details.
Ensure proper setting out, levels, dimensions, alignment, and positioning of civil works.
Monitor manpower, tools, equipment, and material requirements to maintain planned productivity.
Allocate daily tasks to foremen, workers, and subcontractors and monitor their performance.
Coordinate work fronts and ensure activities are completed according to the approved construction schedule.
Monitor daily progress and report delays, site constraints, manpower requirements, and material shortages to the Engineer.
Ensure correct installation of reinforcement, formwork, embedded items, anchor bolts, and other structural components before concrete placement.
Supervise concrete pouring activities, including preparation, placement, vibration, finishing, and curing.
Monitor excavation, backfilling, and compaction activities and ensure required inspections and tests are completed.
Ensure construction materials are used correctly and stored safely to prevent damage and wastage.
Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspections and ensure timely rectification of quality observations and non-conforming works.
Assist in raising inspection requests and ensure work is ready for consultant/client inspection.
Monitor subcontractor activities and ensure compliance with approved work procedures, quality standards, safety requirements, and schedules.
Ensure proper housekeeping and safe access throughout the work areas.
Enforce HSE requirements, PPE usage, toolbox talks, safe working procedures, and site safety instructions.
Immediately report unsafe conditions, incidents, defects, and construction issues to the concerned Engineer/HSE team.
Coordinate with surveyors for setting out, levels, measurements, and verification of completed works.
Maintain daily records of manpower, activities, materials, equipment, and work progress.
Support quantity measurement and verification of completed works where required.
Coordinate with stores and procurement teams to ensure timely availability of construction materials.
Assist Engineers in resolving site-related technical and construction issues.
Coordinate with MEP teams to ensure proper interfaces and avoid clashes with civil works.
Participate in site meetings, progress reviews, inspections, snagging, and coordination meetings.
Supervise rectification of defects, punch-list items, and outstanding works.
Support testing, completion, handover, and close-out activities.
Ensure completed works are properly protected until final handover.
Perform other site supervision duties assigned by the Project Manager or Engineer.
Strong knowledge of civil construction methods and site practices.
Hands-on experience in excavation, earthworks, foundations, concrete, reinforcement, formwork, masonry, drainage, roads, and finishing works.
Ability to read and understand civil drawings and specifications.
Good understanding of construction materials, tools, equipment, and site procedures.
Strong manpower and subcontractor supervision skills.
Good knowledge of QA/QC inspection requirements.
Strong awareness of construction HSE requirements and safe working practices.
Good coordination and communication skills.
Ability to monitor productivity and construction progress.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet project deadlines.
