Black Pearl is supporting a confidential executive search for a major asset-intensive organization in the UAE seeking an accomplished <b>Senior Vice President - Power Infrastructure & Capital Projects</b>.This is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping and leading a major capital projects portfolio — from determining infrastructure investment priorities and long-term development requirements through engineering, governance, execution, commissioning, and handover.<b>Key Responsibilities</b>Lead a portfolio of major power, energy, and infrastructure capital projects.Drive long-term capital planning, project prioritization, and investment decisions.Determine infrastructure development requirements based on future capacity, demand, asset performance, and business priorities.Lead major projects across <b>power generation, transmission, distribution, substations, grid infrastructure, and associated assets</b>.Oversee projects from feasibility and concept development through engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.Establish strong portfolio governance, project controls, risk management, and performance frameworks.Provide executive oversight of CAPEX, budgets, schedules, contractors, consultants, and project performance.Lead multidisciplinary engineering, project management, commercial, and technical teams.Manage senior relationships with regulators, authorities, developers, consultants, EPC contractors, and strategic partners.Ensure capital projects support long-term network reliability, capacity expansion, modernization, and operational requirements.RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you need to meet the following criteria:We are particularly interested in senior executives who have worked on the <b>asset owner/developer side</b> of large power or infrastructure organizations and have had responsibility beyond project execution.Candidates should ideally demonstrate experience in:Large-scale <b>power generation, transmission and/or distribution infrastructure</b>Multi-billion capital project or infrastructure portfoliosCapital investment planning and portfolio prioritizationInfrastructure master planning and network expansionMajor EPC and engineering projectsPortfolio governance and executive-level decision-makingCAPEX planning and financial accountabilityContractor, consultant, and commercial managementGovernment, regulatory, and senior stakeholder engagementLeading large multidisciplinary teams<b>Potential Relevant Titles</b>Candidates currently or previously holding titles such as the following may be particularly relevant:<b>SVP / VP - Projects | VP - Capital Projects | VP - Major Projects | Executive Director - Projects | Executive Director - Power Projects | Head of Capital Projects | Head of Major Projects | Director - Power Projects | Director - Transmission Projects | Director - Generation Projects | Director - Grid Infrastructure | Director - Infrastructure Development | Programme Director - Power Infrastructure</b>Candidates currently based in the <b>UAE are preferred</b>, followed by candidates with relevant GCC experience. To be considered for this role, you need to meet the following criteria:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field)
Postgraduate qualification (MBA or similar) is an advantage
Strong experience in operations and maintenance within large-scale infrastructure or industrial environments
Proven leadership experience managing large teams and multi-site operations
Strong understanding of asset management and maintenance strategies
Experience in budgeting, planning, and performance management
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
