The Role We are seeking an experienced Agriculture Manager to lead agricultural operations, crop production, farm planning, resource management, workforce coordination, quality control, sustainability, and operational improvement. The ideal candidate will combine strong agricultural knowledge with practical management, financial awareness, data-driven decision-making, and the ability to manage complex farming activities efficiently and sustainably. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement agricultural strategies aligned with production, quality, sustainability, and commercial objectives. Manage day-to-day agricultural and farm operations across assigned sites and production areas. Develop seasonal production plans, crop calendars, planting schedules, harvesting plans, and operational targets. Select appropriate crops, varieties, cultivation methods, and production techniques based on environmental and market conditions. Coordinate land preparation, planting, irrigation, fertilization, crop protection, harvesting, and post-harvest activities. Monitor crop health, growth, yield potential, and production performance. Develop and implement integrated crop-management programs. Coordinate soil testing, nutrient management, irrigation planning, and crop monitoring. Optimize water, fertilizer, energy, land, equipment, and labor utilization. Establish irrigation strategies based on crop requirements, environmental conditions, and resource availability. Monitor water consumption and identify opportunities to improve irrigation efficiency. Manage fertilizer and soil amendment programs to maintain productivity and soil health. Establish appropriate pest, disease, weed, and crop-protection management practices. Monitor agricultural risks and implement preventive and corrective measures. Coordinate crop scouting, field inspections, sampling, and agricultural assessments. Work with agronomists, agricultural specialists, consultants, laboratories, and technical suppliers. Evaluate new agricultural technologies, equipment, cultivation methods, and production systems. Support precision agriculture, remote monitoring, sensors, automation, data analytics, and other digital farming solutions. Develop agricultural performance dashboards and monitor operational data. Analyze yield, productivity, resource consumption, crop losses, and production costs. Identify opportunities to increase yields while maintaining product quality and sustainable resource use. Manage agricultural budgets, operating costs, inputs, labor, equipment, and production resources. Monitor expenditure against approved agricultural budgets and investigate significant variances. Manage procurement requirements for seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, irrigation materials, equipment, tools, and other agricultural inputs. Evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, technical support, and delivery performance. Maintain appropriate inventories of agricultural materials and critical production inputs. Plan workforce requirements and coordinate seasonal labor deployment. Recruit, train, supervise, and develop agricultural employees and field teams. Establish clear performance standards for farm workers, supervisors, and technical personnel. Ensure employees and contractors follow agricultural safety procedures and operational requirements. Coordinate agricultural equipment, machinery, vehicles, and maintenance activities. Ensure machinery is properly maintained, safely operated, and available when required. Coordinate harvesting activities to achieve required timing, volume, quality, and handling standards. Establish post-harvest handling procedures to minimize losses and preserve product quality. Work with Quality and Supply Chain teams to meet customer specifications and delivery requirements. Maintain accurate agricultural records covering production, inputs, yields, labor, irrigation, crop health, and costs. Ensure compliance with applicable agricultural, environmental, food-safety, labor, and regulatory requirements. Implement sustainable farming practices that protect soil, water, biodiversity, and surrounding ecosystems. Develop initiatives for water conservation, soil improvement, waste reduction, and responsible input use. Monitor environmental conditions and assess their impact on agricultural productivity. Develop contingency plans for drought, extreme weather, pest outbreaks, disease, equipment failures, and supply disruptions. Investigate production losses, crop failures, quality issues, and operational incidents. Conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions. Benchmark agricultural performance against industry standards and comparable operations. Identify opportunities for process improvement, mechanization, automation, and operational efficiency. Support agricultural research, field trials, variety evaluations, and technology demonstrations. Present production performance, risks, budgets, forecasts, and improvement plans to senior management. Build strong relationships with agricultural partners, suppliers, customers, government authorities, and industry stakeholders. Promote a culture of productivity, safety, sustainability, accountability, and continuous improvement. Experience managing crop production, field operations, irrigation, fertilization, and crop protection. Strong understanding of agronomy, soil management, plant health, and agricultural resource planning. Experience managing agricultural teams, seasonal labor, contractors, and technical specialists. Strong knowledge of agricultural equipment, machinery, irrigation systems, and production technologies. Experience managing agricultural budgets, operating costs, and production resources. Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities. Experience using agricultural monitoring systems, farm-management software, or precision-agriculture technologies. Strong understanding of sustainable agriculture and responsible resource management. Experience managing agricultural suppliers and input procurement. Strong problem-solving and operational-planning capabilities. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills. Ability to work effectively in challenging environmental and operational conditions. Strong understanding of agricultural safety and regulatory requirements. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple production priorities and seasonal deadlines. Strong written and verbal English communication skills; additional languages are advantageous. A degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, Agricultural Engineering, Plant Science, or a related discipline is advantageous.
