About the Role

Media.Monks, a global marketing agency, is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as a Social Data Manager for the MEA region. This pivotal role involves leading and enhancing our data capabilities to serve our social media clients across the EMEA landscape. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in data analytics, strategic insights, and media planning to drive impactful results and will be instrumental in shaping our data and insights strategy, ensuring that our social media initiatives are informed by actionable intelligence.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Data Leadership:


  • Develop and execute the data strategy for social media clients within the EMEA region.
  • Provide thought leadership in data analytics, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Team Management:


  • Oversee three critical teams: Insights Team, Media Connections Planning, and Media Specialists.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within each team.
  • Set clear objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure team success.

Client Engagement:


  • Collaborate closely with clients and client teams to understand their data-related needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing insights and recommendations to enhance their media strategies.

Data-Driven Decision-Making:


  • Champion the use of data as a critical asset for informed decision-making across the organization.
  • Ensure that data insights are effectively communicated to various stakeholders.

Performance Analysis:


  • Utilise data-driven insights to assess campaign/AON Programs performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement continuous optimisation strategies to maximise results. Seek out automation opportunities that are scalable. 

Innovation and Technology:


  • Collaborate with regional leadership in defining a value offering for Social.Monks in the region that integrates a Paid Media perspective in Social and uses data analysis and interpretation as the foundation for decision-making
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in data analytics.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and implement new tools or methodologies to enhance data capabilities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:


  • Work closely with other departments, such as Strategy and Creative, to integrate data-driven insights into overall client strategies.
  • Collaborate with peers
  • Collaborate with counterparts from other Regions of the DDM Practice to share best practices and ensure consistency in approach.

Qualifications


  • Proven experience in a leadership role within data analytics, preferably in a social media or digital marketing context.
  • Strong understanding of media connection planning and media activation functions.
  • Demonstrated success in managing and optimising social media campaigns.
  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate data insights into actionable business strategies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in defining value offerings, particularly in the context of Paid Media within the Social domain.

Education and Experience


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (Data Science, Business Analytics, Marketing, etc.).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in data analytics and leadership roles within the media, advertising, or marketing industry is required.
