The F&B Assistant will be assisting the F&B operations Manager in achieving the department’s goals & objectives by achieving quality for all F&B operations and maintaining high standards of hygiene.
Core Responsibilities
- Assists in defining item recipes and sub recipes. to achieve proper food service.
- Takes control of Daily Requisitions from HQ warehouse and External Suppliers to ensure all requisitions are on place.
- Enters daily resaved invoices and production cycles produced by each department to the system to ensure all invoices are documented on the system.
- Provides the Direct Manager with weekly and Monthly Reports to provide them with all needed updates.
- Being responsible for internal hospitality related procedures (Communications& coordination, scheduling, production & delivery, invoicing) to keep them organized and followed up.
- Ensures that the operational Food and Beverage team can deliver the highest quality product, and the highest financial return.
- Makes financial clams for cash purchases according with the policy.
- Oversees the planning and execution of special events to ensure success and ensure relevant information is passed on to the restaurant managers and assistant managers.
- Follows up on the orders’ quantities and arrival dates to ensure the workflow is maintained.
- To receive requisition orders from the various department heads, in the kitchen to prepare them for issuing and finally to issue them to the respective departments.
- To keep a tight control on stock movements and to have all items inventoried and issued correctly at all times.
Maintains inventory. Prepares purchase requisitions for the replacement of stock. Contacts suppliers or searches catalogues to determine price and additional details concerning new items.
- According to requirements and established procedures, arranges stock. In case of emergency or in order to replace outdated material, suggests substitutes available in the store.
- Makes claims with transport companies if delivered merchandise has been damaged.
- To clean according to schedule and as necessity arises, all heavy duty equipment, including inside refrigerators, ventilation filters.
- Able to direct and store all goods during loading to the right store room.
- To inform the chef in charge of any expired/spoiled items or any other kind of stock damages.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business administration or any related .
- Strong English and Arabic language skills (written and spoken)
- 0-2 Years of experience
- Understanding of production / manufacturing cycles
- Experience using ERP Manufacturing system
- Good knowledge in Raw Material Definition including (Naming, Classification, UOM, Storing, barcoding).
