مهندسين مشتريات Purchase Engineer

Job Summary: The Purchase Engineer is responsible for the technical evaluation and procurement of materials, equipment, and services necessary for the company’s operations. This role requires a technical background, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to liaise effectively between suppliers and the engineering team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Technical Procurement:
o Identify and source materials, equipment, and services based on engineering specifications and project requirements.
o Conduct technical evaluations of supplier proposals to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
o Coordinate with the engineering team to understand technical requirements and provide suitable procurement solutions.
2. Supplier Management:
o Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
o Assess and select suppliers based on technical capability, quality, cost, and delivery performance.
o Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
3. Cost Control and Negotiation:
o Negotiate purchase orders, prices, and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings and value for money.
o Analyze market trends and assess their impact on material costs.
o Implement cost-saving initiatives and strategies.
4. Inventory Management:
o Collaborate with the inventory team to ensure the timely availability of materials and equipment.
o Monitor inventory levels of raw materials/core materials and manage reorder points to avoid shortages or excess inventory.
5. Purchase Order Management:
o Prepare and manage technical purchase orders with suppliers.
o Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
o Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records.
6. Documentation and Reporting:
o Prepare and maintain technical procurement documentation, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier evaluations.
o Generate regular reports on procurement activities, costs, and supplier performance.
o Ensure all procurement activities are documented in accordance with company policies.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or a related field).
• Experience: Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the construction or manufacturing industry.
