Job Description
The Auto Technician is responsible for inspecting and performing maintenance activities on Vehicles and Equipment.
More than 8 years in a similar role and must have experience in working heavy vehicles and Equipments (Preferably with Automobile dealers/agencies) only.
Core Responsibilites:
- Conducts all maintenance and repair activities on vehicles as communicated by Supervisors.
- Completes preventive maintenance such as, engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing and replacing filters
- Maintains vehicle in a functional condition by conducting inspections regularly, recommend to repair engine failures, mechanical malfunctions, body damage and replacing parts and components as needed
- Verifies vehicle service ability by conducting test drives
- Adjusts vehicle controls and systems as needed
- Maintains vehicle records including service & repairs and stock inventory
- Keeps section equipment operational by following instructions troubleshooting breakdowns
- Contains costs by using warranty, evaluating service requirements and parts options
- Reports maintenance issues to Supervisors
- Performs other related duties as needed upon request by the immediate supervisor
- Works in cooperation with Quality Assurance and Continual Improvement department on securing and maintaining the ISO 9002 certification
- Carries out and ensures the compliance of all activities within the Transport Section is in-line with companies’s health and safety regulations
Degree/Diploma or applicable additional technical certification
- Heavy & Light Vehicle Driving License
