Junior Accountant

Job Summary:


Junior Accountant is responsible for compiling balances/activity from various Banking Institutions/internal order management systems (SAP) to update daily cash sheets, forecasts, analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to maintain a record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability. Also, he is responsible for processing invoices and issuing payments.



Job Requirements:


  • Receive and verify invoices, cheques and requisitions for goods and services to sort, code and match invoices.
  • Enter and upload invoices into system and track expenses and process expense reports.
  • Post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records to reconcile accounts payable transactions.
  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues and prepare analysis of accounts.
  • Prepare manual cheques as and when required.
  • Produce monthly reports and assist with month end closing.
  • Maintain listing of accounts payable.
  • Provide supporting documentation for the annual audit as necessary
  • Perform monthly close responsibilities including preparation of journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations and other analyses for internal financial reporting.
  • Responsible for daily monitoring of company liquidity (cash inflows and outflows) and corresponding movement of cash flows at multiple banks.
  • Complete month-end Bank and General Ledger Reconciliations.
  • Complete Credit Card Analysis/Reconciliations/Reports.
  • Troubleshoot issues with Banking Institutions/Credit Card Processors/internal departments.
  • Prepare manual cheques as and when required.
  • Work with Banking Institutions/Credit Card Processors to prepare documentation to create/manage new accounts.
  • Provide supporting documentation for the annual audit as necessary.
  • Initiating payments relying on the aging report and payment voucher on weekly basis.


Job Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or any related field.
  • Up to 2 years of experience in accounting.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently as well as in a team, and comfortable in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Arabic.
  • Must possess basic computer skills and Microsoft Office.
