Role Overview
The Compensation & Benefits (C&B) / Total Rewards Consultant will be responsible for designing, managing, and optimizing the organization���s compensation stratacross technical and non-technical functions. This role plays a key part in attracting, retaining, and engaging high-performing talent specially in niche areas such as AI, data engineering, cloud, MLOps, and cybersecurity. The role also leads Total Rewards governance across multiple MENA countries and partners closely with senior leadership, Talent Acquisition, and finance teams.
Key Responsibilities
Compensation Strategy & Benchmarking
Develop a market-aligned compensation strategy for technical and non-technical roles. Conduct detailed salary benchmarking for niche markets including AI, data engineering, GPU/cluster engineering, MLOps, and cybersecurity. Analyze attraction premiums needed to hire high-performing, already-employed engineers. Assess internal pay equity and alignment with career frameworks.
Total Rewards Design
Enhance the company���s Total Rewards model (fixed/variable pay, retention bonuses, long-term incentives). Support the design of equity or project-based reward stru (e.g., phantom shares, performance accelerators). Review benefits, allowances, and mobility packages to ensure competitiveness.
Offer Management & Talent Advisory
Partner with Talent Acquisition to model competitive offers for senior and critical roles. Conduct compensation simulations, cost modelling, and scenario analyses. Advise leadership on UAE vs. global compensation strategy, including relocation and mobilization.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UAE and global tech compensation trends. Build dashboards and reports on compensation competitiveness and hiring cost trajectories. Coordinate with external consultants (Mercer, Korn Ferry, WTW) for salary surveys and intelligence.
Governance & Process
Maintain compensation structures, policies, and documentation. Support annual salary reviews, bonus cycles, and performance reward calibrations. Ensure compliance with UAE Labor Law and internal guidelines.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor���s den HR, Business, Economics, Finance, or equivalent (master���s preferred).5���10 years��� experience in Compensation & Benefits, Total Rewards, or HR Analytics, ideally within tech or high-growth environments. Strong knowledge of UAE labor market compensation (Abu Dhabi & Dubai). Proven exposure to compensation modelling for AI, data, cloud, or infrastructure roles. Advanced analytical and financial modelling skills (Excel/Sheets, survey tools). Experience presenting data-driven recommendations to senior leadership. C&B certifications (e.g., GRP, CCP) are a plus.
