Business Development Manager- Construction Recruitment (GCC Focus)

The VHR group is a multi award winning technical recruitment business, headquartered in London, supplying contract and permanent technical and professional staff to our clients within the Aerospace & Aviation, F1 & Automotive, Civils & Infrastructure, and Marine sectors.VHR currently employs 65 members of staff across its 8 offices in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Abu Dhabi, Bologna, Prague, Leipzig and Nicosia and generates a turnover of over £40M annually. The Company’s medium-term aims are to grow to 90+ staff and £85M annual turnover.We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled 360 Recruitment Consultant to join our team of Sales Consultants.We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Business Development Manager with a strong track record in construction recruitment across the GCC. This individual will play a key role in expanding our presence within the white-collar construction, engineering, and infrastructure sectors, and must bring a proven network of regional client relationships. The successful candidate will be expected to hit the ground running.Key ResponsibilitiesLead business development activities across the GCC within the white-collar construction recruitment space Utililise existing relationships with main contractors, developers, project management consultancies, and engineering firms to secure new business Work with internal recruitment and delivery teams to ensure successful fulfilment of client requirements Build and manage a pipeline of key accounts, with responsibility for growth and long-term client relationships Keep up to date with regional construction projects, market activity, and client hiring needs Represent VHR at industry events and client meetings across the region Support leadership with input on market trendsRequirements Proven experience in construction recruitment business development, with a focus on white-collar roles Established network of decision-makers within the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, or wider GCC construction industry Strong understanding of the regional construction market, including current and upcoming projects Demonstrated ability to generate new business and manage key accounts effectively Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-facing skills Highly organised, commercially astute, and able to work autonomously or part of a team Previous recruitment agency experience is essentialCompensation and Benefits:An attractive salary & bonus scheme Career development and financial support for professional development qualifications Private health care Staff trips abroad
