Located less than 50 minutes from Dubai International Airport, this integrated resort offering 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants and lounges, a theatre, nightclub, and five-star spa is currently under construction on a picturesque island that gracefully curves into the Arabian Gulf.About The PositionWynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking a Head of Lighting, Video & SFX to join the resort’s Entertainment Administration team.ResponsibilitiesThe primary duties and responsibilities of this role are: Manage the Lighting, Video and SFX Department.  Complete performance reviews.  Hire and train new employees. Lead the team in establishing and maintaining the safe and consistent operations of all lighting, video and SFX systems for each performance. Support the production team by assisting with the planning and strategy of the load-in and the creative / rehearsal process of the production. Ensure adherence to the lighting design in collaboration with the Lighting Designer. Develop the strategy and planning for the lighting, video and SFX systems installation, safety, training and operation. Oversee the operations of all moving lights, follow spots, special effects, lasers and video systems,   Oversee the crew in the performance of show cues and operation of show cue tracks. Install, assemble, hang, and repair lighting fixtures and special effects systems. Document, monitor and update lighting, video and SFX systems installation specifications, inventory of materials and equipment and all pertinent inspection and maintenance records. Monitor all lighting, video and SFX systems and provide adequate oversight and supervision to maintain a safe environment. Participate in the on-going development of an inspection of the lighting, video and SFX system installations.   Support the performers at all times by assisting and guiding their interaction with all show elements and technical staff. Support the Executive Director of Technical Operations in creating an atmosphere that maximizes productivity and minimizes costs. Produce yearly department budgets.  Manage the department’s budgets and capital expense projections and oversee the supply, replacement and inventory of consumables. About YouThe ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience as Head of Lighting for a large-scale theatrical or production show.   Experience with a wide variety of modern theatrical lighting fixtures, lighting control, special effects and video systems, as it pertains to operation, installation, use and troubleshooting.  Equipment to include:  ETC dimmers, ETC NET, Grand MA 3 and all conventional and automated fixtures. Experience and knowledge of GFCI safety systems is required. Must be able to manage staff and perform under pressure as well as manage logistics. Must have the ability to create, implement and work within fiscal budgets. Must be highly organized and be able to function in a stressful environment. Must be able to manage, prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a timely manner. Must have the ability to produce high quality work in a limited time frame.
