The role focuses on supervising and managing all civil engineering activities related to underground cable works, ensuring full compliance with technical, contractual, quality, safety, and environmental standards. This position offers the opportunity to work on critical utility infrastructure projects within a fast-paced and technically demanding environment.Key Responsibilities Supervise and manage civil works for high-voltage underground cable installations, including trenching, ducting, backfilling, and cable laying. Monitor contractor progress and ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, standards, and project schedules. Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks on civil works and materials. Coordinate with design teams, contractors, and client representatives to resolve technical and construction issues. Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements on site. Prepare and review site reports, progress updates, and non-conformance reports (NCRs). Review and approve method statements, construction drawings, and material submittals related to civil works. Support project close-out activities and documentation as required.Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (approved by relevant regulatory authorities). Minimum 12 years of experience in civil engineering. At least 8 years of experience in underground cable works for high-voltage power transmission projects. Experience on utility infrastructure projects within the GCC is preferred.Technical Skills & Knowledge Strong experience in civil design review, construction methodologies, and quality assurance. Solid knowledge of international and local civil engineering codes and standards. Proven ability to manage site activities, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.Soft Skills Strong leadership, coordination, and team management capabilities.
