Job Title: Marketing Lead - Tourism/ Destination Sector: Tourism Department: Regional Development Section: Destination Management Overview We are seeking an experienced Marketing Lead to oversee and drive the promotional efforts of activities, events, and tourism products across the region. This role leads the development and execution of marketing strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners to position the region as a globally recognized, sustainable tourism and cultural destination. The Marketing Lead will ensure impactful visibility across all digital and social platforms while contributing to the wider tourism strategy. Key Responsibilities Marketing Operations• Lead the development and implementation of marketing plans for activities, tourism products, and events in alignment with departmental goals.• Support the creation of promotional campaigns, including regional and international marketing and advertising initiatives.• Coordinate with subject matter experts to ensure all campaigns align with strategic targets and KPIs.• Secure and manage the annual marketing budget in collaboration with internal marketing and communications teams.• Support media and communications teams in preparing media content packs and key messages for promotional activities.• Ensure social media strategies are aligned with marketing objectives and integrated into broader campaign plans.• Monitor industry benchmarks, market trends, and audience insights to refine marketing strategies.• Oversee the development and execution of digital marketing plans across web, social media, mobile, and direct communication channels to optimize reach and engagement. Shared Responsibilities• Translate functional strategy into detailed business plans, ensuring alignment with cross-functional initiatives.• Identify opportunities to enhance processes, strengthen operational efficiency, and support sustainability.• Manage and oversee compliance with functional policies, procedures, and guidelines.• Provide leadership that supports organizational values and contributes to a culture of integrity and excellence.• Perform any additional duties as assigned by the direct manager. Qualifications & Experience• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Tourism Strategy, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).• PMP certification is preferred.• 5 to 7 years of experience in project management, business process management, or a similar role.• Strong background in the tourism sector is highly preferred.• Experience working within the Al Ain and/or Al Dhafra regions is an advantage. Skills & Competencies• Full professional proficiency in English; Arabic is desirable.• Proficiency in MS Office (Power Point, Word, Excel).• Strong administrative capabilities and attention to detail.• Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities effectively.• Expert knowledge of rebate schemes, with familiarity in UAE standards preferred.• Experience in business planning and financial- and policy-related programme management.
