Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Fibre Optic Technician, located in Sharjah. The Fibre Optic Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing fiber optic networks. Responsibilities include splicing, testing and diagnosing issues in cables, ensuring proper connections, and performing routine inspections. The role may also involve collaborating with other teams to ensure timely and quality project completion.
Qualifications
Proficiency in fibre optic cable installation, splicing, testing, and maintenance Understanding of fiber optic communication principles and network troubleshooting Knowledge of testing equipment such as OTDR, light meters, and fusion splicers Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and work instructions Familiarity with health and safety guidelines for on-site installations Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Good communication and teamwork skills Relevant vocational training or certification in fiber optic technology is preferred Previous experience in telecommunications or related fields is advantageous
