Role Description The Senior Vice President (SVP) at Fundação LIGA Oficial will provide strategic leadership and oversight of key organizational initiatives, working closely with the executive team, board members, and external partners. This part-time hybrid role is based in Abu Dhabi, with a combination of on-site presence for leadership, stakeholder meetings, and events, and some work-from-home flexibility for planning, coordination, and reporting. Day-to-day responsibilities include setting strategic priorities, monitoring program performance, guiding budgeting and resource allocation, and ensuring alignment with the foundation’s mission and governance standards. The SVP will lead cross-functional collaboration, represent the organization in high-level external engagements, support fundraising and partnership development, and mentor senior staff to drive operational excellence. The role also involves reviewing policies, overseeing risk management, and preparing concise reports and presentations for leadership and governance bodies.
Qualifications
Demonstrated strategic leadership and executive management experience, including setting long-term goals and overseeing complex initiatives. Strong capabilities in governance, compliance, and risk management, with experience working with boards, committees, or advisory councils. Proven ability to build and maintain partnerships with donors, sponsors, community organizations, and institutional stakeholders. Excellent communication skills, including high-level presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement across diverse audiences. Experience managing budgets, financial oversight, and resource allocation in nonprofit, foundation, or mission-driven environments. Track record of leading and mentoring senior teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and inclusive organizational culture. Comfort with hybrid work arrangements, including effective remote collaboration and on-site leadership in Abu Dhabi. Advanced degree in management, public administration, nonprofit leadership, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered. Ability to work in a multicultural context, with cultural awareness and respect for diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
