Role Description The Procurement Engineer is a part-time, hybrid role based in Dubai, with some flexibility for work from home. This position is responsible for managing the procurement of medical equipment, supplies, and services, ensuring alignment with technical specifications and hospital standards. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and reviewing requests for quotation (RFQs), evaluating suppliers, negotiating terms, and issuing purchase orders in coordination with clinical and administrative departments. The role also involves monitoring delivery timelines, resolving discrepancies, maintaining accurate procurement records, and supporting cost optimization without compromising quality. The Procurement Engineer collaborates with internal stakeholders to forecast needs, support compliance with relevant regulations, and contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes. Qualifications Ability to manage procurement documentation and workflows, including Supplier Evaluation and Purchase Orders. Strong Analytical Skills to assess quotations, compare technical and commercial offers, and support data-driven decisions. Effective Communication skills for coordinating with suppliers, internal departments, and cross-functional teams. Experience handling Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes, from specification development to bid analysis. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Knowledge of healthcare or medical equipment procurement is an advantage. Proficiency with procurement or ERP software and standard office productivity tools. Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
