Our
client is a well-established building contractor specializing in refurbishment,
concrete repair and structural rehabilitation projects up to AED 10M across the
UAE.
We are recruiting a UAE experienced Estimation Engineer to join their Dubai team. The successful
candidate will manage the estimating process from tender review and site
assessment through to bid submission, preparing accurate cost evaluations and
technical proposals to support successful project acquisition.
Key Responsibilities
- Review tender documents,
drawings, specifications and BOQs to prepare accurate cost estimates, quantity
take-offs and commercially competitive tender submissions.
- Conduct site visits to
assess existing conditions, verify measurements and identify project
requirements to support accurate pricing.
- Prepare pricing
schedules, cost breakdowns and AutoCAD drawings to support technical and
commercial proposals.
- Source and evaluate
supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure competitive pricing and cost
accuracy.
- Work closely with
clients, consultants and internal teams to clarify technical requirements and
develop effective tender solutions.
Skills &
Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ UAE
experience as an Estimation Engineer within construction, refurbishment,
concrete repair or structural rehabilitation projects.
- Proven experience
preparing cost estimates, BOQs, quantity take-offs and tender submissions for
construction projects.
- Strong understanding of
construction methods, materials, project costing and pricing principles.
- Proficient in AutoCAD
with the ability to review and amend technical drawings.
- Strong numerical,
analytical and commercial skills with advanced Excel capability.
- Excellent organization
and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tenders and
meet submission deadlines.
- UAE driving license is
mandatory.
Candidate Profile
- Currently residing in
the UAE.
- Good command of written
and verbal English.
- A proactive and
detail-oriented professional with strong commercial awareness and the ability
to take ownership of multiple tender submissions in a fast-paced construction
environment.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in
Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or a related discipline is
mandatory.
