About the job SENIOR MEP MANAGER
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all MEP activities throughout the lifecycle of residential and mixed-use development projects.
- Oversee the planning, design coordination, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, structural teams, contractors, and authorities to ensure seamless project execution.
- Review and approve MEP designs, shop drawings, material submittals, and technical specifications.
- Ensure all MEP works comply with project requirements, applicable codes, regulations, and quality standards.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to achieve timely and cost-effective project delivery.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize delays and technical issues.
- Manage MEP contractors and subcontractors, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings to monitor performance and resolve technical challenges.
- Support value engineering initiatives to optimize project performance and reduce costs without compromising quality.
- Ensure successful testing, commissioning, and final handover of all MEP systems.
- Prepare and present progress reports, technical updates, and project performance metrics to senior management.
- Mentor and develop engineering teams, promoting collaboration and continuous improvement.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 14 years of experience in MEP management, with significant experience in residential and mixed-use development projects.
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale development projects from design through construction and handover.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, ELV, and building management systems.
- Excellent understanding of international engineering standards, local regulations, and authority requirements.
- Strong project management, planning, budgeting, and contract administration skills.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing multiple stakeholders.
- Proficient in reviewing engineering designs, technical documentation, and construction methodologies.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software; familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM coordination is an advantage.
- Professional engineering registration or relevant certifications are considered an advantage.
