Legal Counsel

Do you have experience in financial legislation and government regulations?

We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join a leading government entity, contributing to the development of financial regulations, reviewing systems and agreements, and providing legal and financial advisory to ensure compliance and best practices.


Key Responsibilities

  • Reviewing and drafting local financial legislations and regulations and proposing amendments and developments.

  • Studying best practices and conducting benchmarking in financial systems.

  • Providing legal and financial advisory to government entities regarding the unified financial system.

  • Reviewing contracts, agreements, and memoranda of understanding from legal and financial perspectives.

  • Preparing and reviewing responses to legal consultations and recommendations.

  • Following up on cases and lawsuits in coordination with the competent authorities.

  • Participating in the review of local and federal legislation projects and providing legal opinions.

  • Supporting the development of accounting and financial training programs and evaluating their outputs.

  • Contributing to risk management, improving operational processes, and achieving performance indicators.


Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements

✔ Bachelor’s degree in Law (Master’s degree in related fields preferred).

✔ Experience in legal consultancy and government or financial legislation.

✔ Strong knowledge of financial legislations and regulations in the UAE.

✔ Experience in reviewing contracts, agreements, and memoranda of understanding.

✔ Outstanding skills in legal research, drafting legislations, and preparing legal memoranda.

✔ Ability to analyze systems, provide recommendations, and communicate with government entities.

✔ Proficiency in Arabic and English.


  • Experience in government or regulatory bodies.

  • Deep understanding of governance, compliance, and risk management.

  • High analytical and legal drafting skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple files and work with various stakeholders.
