Plans, coordinates, develops, and delivers specific training modules for Plant employees in one of the operation/technical areas and manage the training schedules to ensure proper delivery of training as per operations’ needs and in line with agreed standards.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Training
Verify
Discipline
Controls and monitors trainees’ absenteeism, performance, and discipline according to EGA policies and procedures;
Coordinates with Operations personnel to follow-up on employees’ progress and behaviour.
Document Control
Prepares technical documents, texts, presentations and hand-outs for Plant employees assigned on training courses or involved in on-the-job training to acquire skills and expertise;
Updates trainees’ profiles as per procedures for document control;
Develops and updates training procedures and materials in line with the latest process, equipment and technological changes, including writing of training specifications, task analyses, assessments and questionnaires.
EHSFS/Accreditations
Ensures compliance of training programs, trainees, and facilities to EGA EHSFS standards, all international standards (ISO), and accreditation criteria (C&G and ILM).
Reporting
Holds meetings with trainees, mentors and departmental line supervisors as required;
Completes progress reports and communicates the academic, technical and on-the-job training achievements to departmental management to ensure accurate training evaluation and verification is carried out and recorded in accordance with ISO 9001 and 29990 requirements.
Quality
Assists in the development of programme content and assessment criteria to meet specific departmental requirements and those of external bodies to ensure a consistent approach to content, time scale, numbering and format in accordance with ISO 9001 and 29990 requirements

Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum Qualifications:
High School or approved Diploma/Certificate +7 years of experience in relevant field;
UAE driving license for light vehicles, and light and heavy mechanical equipment (cat 7 or 8) according to field of expertise is preferable;
Relevant recognized certificate or other qualification in design and delivery of training.

Skills:
Good technical training skills; well conversant in technical skills required for aluminium smelters across all departments and/or power plants;
Ability to guide team in OEM training processes during the project phase;
Well conversant with skills required for Craft training in Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation areas;
Excellent written and spoken English, coaching and counselling skills.
