The QA/QC Engineer is responsible for implementing and monitoring quality assurance and quality control activities for fit-out and interior
design projects. The role ensures that all materials and workmanship comply with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards,
and client requirements throughout the project lifecycle, from execution to final handover
Implement the Project Quality Plan (PQP) and QA/QC procedures on site.
Prepare, review, and maintain Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and quality checklists.
Inspect fit-out works to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
Monitor the quality of interior works, including gypsum, joinery, flooring, wall, and ceiling finishes.
Ensure only approved materials are used on site.
Coordinate quality inspections with consultants and clients.
Identify non-conformances, raise NCRs, and verify corrective actions.
Maintain accurate quality records, reports, and inspection documents.
Participate in snagging and de-snagging activities and follow up on snag closures.
Assist in the preparation and verification of as-built drawings and handover documents.
Support internal and external quality audits.
Promote quality awareness among site teams and subcontractors.
Recommend cost impacts due to quality issues for management review.
Inspect, approve, or reject workmanship and materials that do not meet quality standards.
Report quality issues and risks to the Project Manager.
Enforce approved standards and method statements on site.
Raise NCRs, observations, and quality warnings.
Prepare and verify as-built drawings and handover documentation.
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports.
Maintain quality documentation, including inspection reports, NCR logs, snag lists, and material approvals.
Issue NCRs and quality observations.
Recommend corrective actions and rework for defective works.
Temporarily stop works in cases of serious quality non-compliance.
Coordinate directly with consultants, subcontractors, and site teams on quality-related issues.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
3–7 years of experience in fit-out and interior finishing works.
Certification in ISO 9001 Internal Auditor or QA/QC is preferred.
Proficiency in MS Office and basic AutoCAD.
Effective communication skills with project teams, consultants, and subcontractors.
Strong attention to detail and focus on finish quality.
Ability to enforce quality standards objectively and consistently.
Capability to reject non-compliant works and stop defective activities.
Ability to manage multiple inspections, meet deadlines, and resolve problems effectively.
Ability to work under pressure in fast-track fit-out projects.
Strong knowledge of site inspection and quality control of fit-out works.
Knowledge of local authority and consultant quality requirements, including ADM, DCD, and Estidama.
Proficiency in Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and Quality Plans.
Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems and ISO 9001 requirements.
Knowledge of interior fit-out construction methods and finishing standards, including gypsum partitions and ceilings, joinery, flooring, wall, and ceiling finishes.
Proficiency in snagging, de-snagging, and handover quality requirements.
Knowledge of NCR management, corrective actions, and preventive actions.
