Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced Rig Superintendent Development Rigs to oversee and manage development drilling operations . The ideal candidate should have strong experience in development drilling, rig operations, crew management, well control, HSE, and drilling performance. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable rig operations while meeting drilling programs and operational targets.

Responsibilities

Ensure safe and efficient operation of the drilling rig, worksite, equipment, and personnel. Supervise rig personnel, assign work priorities, and manage daily operational activities. Plan and coordinate rig erection, dismantling, mobilization, demobilization, and rig moves. Oversee drilling operations, safety standards, and operational performance. Monitor rig condition, equipment performance, and preventive maintenance activities. Coordinate manpower, drilling tools, fuel, water, and other site requirements. Investigate incidents, accidents, injuries, and operational issues and prepare reports. Evaluate drilling and wellbore results and monitor drilling progress. Prepare reports covering drilling progress, equipment requirements, and operational problems. Coordinate with Operations Managers, Superintendents, clients, and site personnel. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs. Ensure compliance with company HSE policies, procedures, and applicable regulations. Support employee training, competency development, and workforce management. Maintain appropriate safety and security measures for personnel, equipment, and company assets.

Requirements

Proven experience in rig drilling operations at supervisory level. Experience in land-based drilling rig operations. Strong leadership and crew supervision skills. Strong knowledge of drilling equipment, rig maintenance, and operational procedures. Experience managing rig maintenance and maintenance schedules. Strong HSE knowledge and commitment to safe drilling practices. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively with clients, contractors, service providers, and internal teams. Strong critical-thinking and decision-making abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and Teams. Ability to work effectively in remote and challenging field environments. Flexible and adaptable to changing operational requirements. Ability to understand and comply with applicable Saudi drilling, HSE, logistics, immigration, and employee-relations requirements.
