HealthHub Clinics, part of Al-Futtaim Health, is seeking an experienced Specialist Rheumatologist to join our established outpatient clinic in Al Karama, Dubai.

About the Role


As a Specialist Rheumatologist, you will provide specialist-level care for patients with rheumatological, autoimmune, inflammatory, and musculoskeletal conditions.


You will manage both new and follow-up patients, develop long-term treatment plans, monitor therapeutic response, and support patients through complex chronic disease pathways.


This role is particularly suited to a proactive Rheumatologist who is confident managing outpatient demand and building a recognised service within a community-based healthcare environment.


Key Responsibilities


Provide specialist rheumatology consultations in an outpatient clinic setting.

Diagnose and manage inflammatory arthritis, connective tissue disease, osteoporosis, chronic pain conditions, and autoimmune disorders.

Prescribe, monitor, and optimise treatment plans, including DMARDs and biologic therapies where clinically appropriate.

Perform joint assessments and outpatient procedures such as joint injections where applicable.

Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and relevant investigations.

Develop long-term follow-up plans for chronic rheumatology patients.

Collaborate with Orthopaedics, Physiotherapy, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, and other specialties.

Educate patients on diagnosis, treatment options, medication use, lifestyle management, and long-term disease control.

Maintain accurate medical records in line with clinical governance and regulatory standards.

Participate in clinical audit, CME, service development, and quality improvement initiatives.


Skills

Essential Requirements


Specialist Rheumatologist with UAE professional registration or eligibility.

DHA, DOH/HAAD, or MOH specialist licence preferred.

Completion of recognised specialist qualification approved by UAE regulatory authorities.

Minimum 5 years’ post-specialist experience preferred.

Strong outpatient rheumatology experience.

Confident managing chronic inflammatory, autoimmune, and musculoskeletal conditions.

Experience prescribing and monitoring DMARDs and biologic therapies.

Excellent patient communication and follow-up management skills.

Fluent English language skills.

Arabic language skills are advantageous but not mandatory.


Preferred Experience


Previous UAE clinical experience.

Existing patient following or confidence in building a patient base.

Experience in high-volume outpatient or community clinic settings.

Experience working closely with Physiotherapy, Orthopaedics, Internal Medicine, and Primary Care.

Familiarity with the Al Karama or similar community catchment area.
