Role Purpose The VP Technology is responsible for overseeing the technology strategy,infrastructure, and innovation initiatives across the organization. This role is crucial in ensuring that the company's technology systems and processes are al igned with its business objectives, enhance operational efficiency, and support growth . VP Technology is expected to lead the organization through digital transformation initiatives to develop best -in- class digital production and IT strategies that support employees and customers.
Accountabilities & Activities Key Activities1. Technology Strategy & Governance• Define the company’s overall technology strategy to support business objectives.• Establish a governance system for projects, programmes, and portfolios, including developing a strategy that aligns with the organization’s overall goals.• Ensure tight collaboration across departments to drive strategic initiatives, including understanding the alignment between technology strategy and various technology road maps .2. Project, Programme & Portfolio Management• Direct all activities in the field of projects, programmes, and portfolios.• Manage mega projects for the organization and carry out project planning and associatedresponsibilities to ensure that projects are completed on time based on all parameters (timeline, cost, safety, and any other elements).• Perform leadership for the project, programme, and portfolio managers, as well as the PMO, and support all other board members in chartering or sponsoring projects .3. IT Infrastructure & Security Management• Make infrastructure decisions, ensuring technical excellence, versatility, safety, soundness, resiliency,and scalability in the architecting and engineering of product solutions, as well as managing all technical delivery.• Oversee data security, management, and governance.• Facilitate the development and implementation of disaster recovery and IT security failure plans .4. Financial Management & Resource Allocation• Develop and manage annual and quarterly budgets.• Manage IT resource allocation, goal/KPI setting, and performance metrics .5. Innovation & Digitization• Focus on the development of digitization priorities of the organization.• Create strategic plans and set timelines for the evaluation, development, and deployment of alltechnical, web, and mobile services .6. Vendor & Stakeholder Management• Manage strategic vendor and technology partner relationships.• Work with the leadership team to set clear priorities and goals for IT management and production, balancing the long -term and immediate needs .7. Safety, Quality & Environment• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies,procedures and controls within the Technology division to ensure employee safety, legislativecompliance, delivery of high -quality services and a responsible environmental attitude .8. Leadership & Team Development• Leading project, programme, and portfolio managers as well as supporting personnel directly or indirectly and collecting project updates.• Acts as a sponsor for projects (e.g., the development of a new set of KPIs for projects).
Qualifications/Experience Minimum Qualification(Educational Qualifications,Trainings, or Certifications )• Bachelor’s degree Computer Science , Engineering or relevant (Essential)• Master’s degree in Business Management/ IT /Engineering (Preferred )
Professional Experience• 20+ years of related experience of which a minimum of 5 years should bein a similar position / responsibility, preferably in a similar Industry.• Broad knowledge of software engineering: languages, frameworks,techniques, and industry trends . Language (s) Known• English ( Essential )
