Experience Level: C-Level / Executive About the Role We are looking for an experienced, strategic, and commercially minded Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the company's financial strategy and overall finance function in the UAE. The CFO will work closely with the CEO, Board, shareholders, and senior leadership team to drive sustainable growth, strengthen financial performance, manage financial risks, and ensure effective financial governance across the organization. The successful candidate will combine strong financial expertise with commercial judgment, strategic thinking, and executive leadership. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute the company's overall financial strategy in alignment with business objectives. Lead the global finance and accounting function. Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, treasury, taxation, and financial controls. Take overall responsibility for the company's financial performance and P&L management. Monitor revenue, profitability, cash flow, liquidity, working capital, and key financial KPIs. Provide strategic financial analysis and recommendations to the CEO, Board, and senior management. Lead annual budgeting and long-term financial planning processes. Develop financial models, forecasts, scenarios, and business-performance analysis. Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements and management reports. Establish and maintain strong internal controls, financial policies, and governance frameworks. Identify, assess, and manage financial and business risks. Oversee cash management, treasury operations, banking relationships, and liquidity planning. Develop strategies to optimize working capital and improve cash-flow performance. Lead relationships with banks, investors, shareholders, auditors, tax advisors, and other financial stakeholders. Support fundraising, financing, debt arrangements, investment activities, or capital-market initiatives where applicable. Evaluate major investments, acquisitions, business opportunities, and strategic projects from a financial perspective. Oversee tax strategy and compliance, including UAE VAT and Corporate Tax requirements. Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, financial regulations, and corporate requirements. Coordinate external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings. Oversee finance systems, ERP platforms, financial data, and reporting infrastructure. Lead finance transformation, automation, and process-improvement initiatives. Establish appropriate financial KPIs and performance-monitoring systems. Work closely with Commercial, Operations, Sales, and other departments to improve profitability and business performance. Develop and implement cost-control and efficiency-improvement initiatives. Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting organization. Build a high-performing finance team and establish clear responsibilities and performance standards. Support strategic expansion into new markets and jurisdictions. Ensure appropriate financial governance across subsidiaries and business units. Represent the company in high-level financial, commercial, and strategic discussions. Provide regular financial updates, forecasts, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations to the Board and shareholders. Maintain the highest standards of financial integrity, confidentiality, and accountability. What We're Looking For Strong strategic finance and commercial leadership capabilities. Excellent understanding of corporate finance, accounting, financial reporting, and financial planning. Strong P&L, cash-flow, treasury, and working-capital management experience. Strong knowledge of financial controls, risk management, and corporate governance. Excellent analytical and strategic decision-making skills. Ability to translate complex financial information into clear business recommendations. Strong leadership and team-building capabilities. Excellent negotiation and stakeholder-management skills. UAE / GCC experience is highly desirable. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CA, CMA, or equivalent is strongly preferred. MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage. Typically 12+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including substantial senior leadership responsibility. Previous experience as a CFO, Deputy CFO, Finance Director, Group Finance Director, Regional Finance Director, or equivalent executive position is preferred. Proven experience managing a full finance function and significant financial responsibility. Strong experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, treasury, and risk management. Experience managing multi-entity or international finance operations is highly desirable. Experience working with Boards, shareholders, investors, banks, auditors, and professional advisors. Experience with fundraising, financing, M&A, or investment activities is an advantage. Strong ERP, financial-reporting, and financial-analysis experience. Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and relevant GCC financial practices is preferred. UAE / GCC executive finance experience is strongly preferred.
