Job Details

We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer to support the planning, coordination and delivery of ship repair, drydocking, conversion and new-build projects.
Purpose
To plan, coordinate and deliver assigned ship repair, drydocking, conversion or new-build projects from handover through completion and close-out, ensuring safe execution, schedule and budget compliance, and achievement of class/client quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities• Manage assigned technical work packages from handover through completion and close-out• Coordinate project scope, schedule, manpower, materials, subcontractors, permits and inspections• Monitor project progress, productivity, cost, quality, risks and changes against the approved baseline• Coordinate with Engineering, Production, HSE, QA/QC, Procurement, Stores, Logistics and subcontractors• Conduct onboard surveys and review specifications, drawings and client requirements• Coordinate class/client inspections, testing, commissioning, trials and punch-list closure• Manage technical queries, variations, project documentation and reporting• Support project close-out, handover documentation and estimate-versus-actual reviews
Requirements• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Marine, Electrical, Naval Architecture or a related Engineering discipline• 5–8 years of experience in ship repair, shipbuilding, offshore or marine projects• Good knowledge of project planning, class/client inspections, procurement and cost control• Ability to interpret multidisciplinary drawings and coordinate shipboard activities• Exposure to MS Project/Primavera, Excel and ERP/project systems• Strong technical English and ability to work onboard and across shifts when required
