Job Purpose: To deliver engaging Social Studies instruction in line with the MOE curriculum, developing students' understanding of UAE national identity, history, geography and civic education.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver Social Studies lessons in accordance with the MOE curriculum framework and learning outcomes for the assigned grade levels.

• Foster students' understanding of UAE heritage, national identity, geography, history and civic responsibility.

• Prepare students for MOE assessments and examinations relevant to Social Studies.

• Develop and mark assessments; track and report on student progress and attainment.

• Use a variety of teaching strategies (projects, discussions, multimedia, field-based learning) to make content accessible and engaging.

• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students with varying abilities.

• Maintain a positive, well-managed classroom environment consistent with school policy.

• Collaborate with the Social Studies team on curriculum mapping, common assessments and moderation.

• Support national events, UAE-related celebrations (e.g., National Day, Flag Day, Martyrs' Day) and related school activities.

• Participate in department meetings, CPD, and parent-teacher conferences.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Social Studies, History, Geography, Education or a related field.

• Minimum 2 years' teaching experience in Social Studies, preferably within an MOE curriculum school.

• Valid UAE Teacher's License or eligibility to obtain one.

• Strong knowledge of UAE history, culture and national curriculum requirements for Social Studies.
