your role revolves around managing inventory and ensuring efficient operation of the storage facility. Here are the primary responsibilities associated with the role of a storekeeper:

Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, including incoming and outgoing stock, using inventory management software or manual systems. This involves tracking stock levels, conducting regular stock counts, and identifying discrepancies.

Receiving and Dispatching Goods: Receive incoming shipments, verify their contents against purchase orders or delivery notes, and ensure that goods are stored appropriately. When goods are dispatched, ensure accurate picking, packing, and shipping according to orders.

Storage and Organization: Organize the storage space to optimize efficiency and accessibility. This includes categorizing items, labeling shelves or bins, and ensuring that goods are stored safely to prevent damage or deterioration.

Stock Rotation and Shelf-Life Management: Implement first-in, first-out (FIFO) or other appropriate stock rotation methods to minimize waste and ensure that older stock is used or sold before newer stock. Monitor expiration dates for perishable goods and ensure timely rotation or disposal.
