Job Description - Manager, Heavy Maintenance Planning (2400003 Y)<br/><br/>Job Purpose:<br/><br/>To monitor and manage Heavy maintenance induction and ensure timely accomplishment of schedule maintenance checks to maintain committed aircraft availability.<br/><br/>Managerial Accountabilities:<br/><br/>Strategy Formation and Implementation<br/><br/>Participate in the development and refinement of division’s strategy in line with the SBU vision and strategy and contribute to the overall process of corporate management and decision making to ensure the organization maximizes its short-, medium- and long-term profitability and returns to its shareholders.<br/><br/>Leadership and Direction<br/><br/>Provide overall direction for the effective achievement of the division objectives through effective leadership and by setting of individual objectives, managing performance, developing, and motivating team to maximize performance.<br/><br/>Collaborate with the colleagues in the Executive Leadership community, to synergize efforts across Air Transport for the successful achievement of strategic objectives.<br/><br/>Organization Structure<br/><br/>Together with Holding’s human capital function and Head of the division provide inputs in order to design an optimum organization structure and direct the development of the Information Technology structures so that resources are optimally utilized, and communication can take place in an efficient manner.<br/><br/>Budgeting and Financial Performance<br/><br/>Direct the preparation and consolidation of the division budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues; areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.<br/><br/>Direct the development and oversee the implementation of the division policies, systems, processes, procedures, and controls covering all areas of<br/><br/>function so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service in a consistent manner.<br/><br/>Job Specific Accountabilities<br/><br/>Lead and manage the aircraft planning unit.<br/><br/>Monitor the performance of the planning unit and its employees.<br/><br/>Liaise with other related departments for the maintenance requirements.<br/><br/>Prepare the work scope of aircraft heavy maintenance checks.<br/><br/>Recommend improvements to policies and supervise the implementation of procedures.<br/><br/>Implement tactical planning by adjusting strategic plans based on inputs and changes coming from different concerns.<br/><br/>Manage engineering documentation applicable in heavy maintenance checks.<br/><br/>Management of aircraft storage & active storage (long parking) work<br/><br/>packages requirements when applicable.<br/><br/>Management of outsource heavy maintenance visits.<br/><br/>Jointly work with SV-contract for MRO slot availability & aircraft assignment.<br/><br/>Finetune turnaround time (TAT) agreement reference to work package content.<br/><br/>Identify & define obstacles affecting turnaround time (TAT).<br/><br/>Request and schedule of short-term escalation (STE) of heavy maintenance as applicable.<br/><br/>Develop and monitor departmental performance metrics (KPI).<br/><br/>Corporate Accountabilities<br/><br/>Safety, Quality and Environment<br/><br/>Ensure compliance to all relevant quality, health, safety, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls across the division to guarantee employee and assets safety, legislative compliance, and a responsible environmental attitude.<br/><br/>Required Qualifications:<br/><br/>Bachelor’s or master's degree in engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Aeronautical/ Avionics/Industrial or any Engineering related subject).<br/><br/>Minimum 9 years of experience in relevant role, in which 3 years in leadership role.
