Business Development Manager

1.    Actively promote products to the specification community including architects, lighting designers, interior designers, and other applicable persons within the designated sales territory

2.    Cultivate new relationships and develop/enhance existing relationships to increase brand awareness in the regional market

3.    Make direct and/or with our agency partners sales calls on a daily basis to promote outdoor LED products and services

4.    Successfully secure lighting specifications through development of strong specifier relationships

5.    Planning and execution of territory visits to optimize time and provide maximum exposure to key decision makers and projects

6.    Ensure accurate distribution of information and materials to the specification community and follow up on all leads in order to maximize sales opportunities

7.    Evaluate and report sales activities within the region

8.    Evaluate and report on competition activity within the region

9.    Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers, suppliers and employees at all levels

10. Develop and support domestic and international specifications through superior project management practices and collaboration

11. Train agents in product portfolio and the market segments were applied

12. Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and other projections as required using CRM based processes

13. Keep senior management informed of economic, competitive, and other factors affecting the region with recommendations for improvements/changes

Skills

· 5 years’ experience in the lighting or an associated industry

· Experience selling in an environment with architects, designers, engineers, contractors, investors and owners

· Bachelor’s degree in industrial or technical field

· Proven/verifiable history of achieving Sales targets

· Willingness to travel for 50% of working time in assigned region (10 nights per month)

· Strong working knowledge and proficiency in CRM systems

· Knowledge of MS Dynamics ERP & CRM advantageous

· Proficiency in Windows-based software particularly MS Office suite required

· AGI 32 photometric software knowledge is advantageous

· Project management capability

· Exceptional multi-tasking capabilities

· Excellent teamwork skills

· Trainer capability
