Emirati - Accounts Administrator

Job Summary:

The Accounts Assistant is responsible for supporting the accounting department with various financial tasks, including bookkeeping, data entry, and financial reporting. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a basic understanding of accounting principles.


Key Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping and Data Entry:

  • Record daily financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.

Invoice Management:

  • Prepare and process invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable.

Bank Reconciliation:

  • Reconcile bank statements with company accounts to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies.

Financial Reporting:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Provide support in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Payroll Processing:

  • Assist with payroll processing by collecting and verifying employee time and attendance records.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payment of wages and salaries.

Administrative Support:

  • Provide administrative support to the accounting team as needed.
  • Assist with filing, data management, and document preparation.

Compliance and Audits:

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.

Expense Tracking:

  • Monitor and manage company expenses, ensuring they are recorded and categorized correctly.
  • Assist in the preparation and processing of expense reports.


Skills

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent. An associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience:
  • Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not always required.
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
