Electrical Engineer

Able to develop initial electrical design concepts in line with project requirements.

-Create detailed electrical schematics, layout plans, and load calculations.

-Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations like DM,DEWA ,IEEE etc

-Prepare detailed design documents including single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and equipment schedules.

-Specify electrical components and materials.

-Develop lighting, power distribution, Fire Alarm, structure cabling and emergency systems designs.

-Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other design team members.

-Coordinate electrical designs with other building systems (HVAC, plumbing, etc.).

-Attend design and site supervision coordination meetings and provide technical input.

-Use specialized software for design and simulation (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, Dialux etc).

-Able to conduct electrical load analysis, short-circuit calculations, and voltage drop calculations.

-Ensure designs meet safety standards and energy efficiency requirements.

-Incorporate sustainable and green building practices into electrical designs.

-Oversee electrical installation works on-site to ensure adherence to designs and specifications.

-Monitor the quality of work performed by contractors and subcontractors.

-Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

-Provide technical support and guidance to site teams.

-Address and resolve any technical issues or discrepancies during construction.

-Review and approve electrical shop drawings and material submittals.

-Conduct inspections and tests on electrical installations.

-Ensure all electrical systems and components meet project specifications and regulatory standards.

-Prepare and maintain detailed inspection and test records.

-Liaise with project managers, site engineers, and other stakeholders.

-Participate in site meetings, report on electrical progress and issues.

-Maintain accurate records of electrical works, including inspection reports.

-Ensure that all as-built drawings and documentation are completed and handed over at project closeout.

-Supervise the commissioning of electrical systems and ensure they are operational.

  • -Conduct final inspections and prepare snag lists for any outstanding work.

Skills

Requirements:

 -Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering

-Minimum 5 years of UAE Experience in MEP Consultancy Field, specifically in the Building Electrical Services.

-Preferably DM & DEWA Accredited.

Must have Valid UAE Driving License
