JOB PURPOSE
As the Creative Solutions Manager, you will be responsible for the creation of innovative marketing communications campaigns for Alshaya’s top brands across every division.
This role requires a deep knowledge of creative strategic and conceptual vision. You will be responsible for the creation and implementation of these campaigns in a cross disciplinary manner looking at touchpoints from digital, physical and beyond, finding innovative ways to help brands become more relevant to customers.
This role will also involve managing Alshaya’s internal creative studio, a talented team of designers, copywriters and content finalizers acting as a support function to Alshaya’s portfolio of brands. The team supports the brands on a day-to-day basis to complete certain design and copy-centric tasks.
You will work closely with brand marketing teams and collaborate with them to ideate on campaign creative ideas based on brand objectvies and lead in bringing these campaigns to life based on marketing calendars and allocated budgets, while also finding innovative solutions to help brands extract the most value from their marketing spends.
As the Creative Solutions Manager, you will also be expected to leverage insights and knowledge gathered from our internal data and insights teams to better understand the customer and explore ways in which we can strengthen our brands communication and marketing efforts to become more relevant.
This role works closely with partner agencies, from production house to creative comms agencies and media partners to bring campaigns to life and outsource skillsets and capacity when require while still maintaining Alshaya’s standard of work across all output delivered from collaborative parties.
Moreover, you will also be required to inspire and lead the internal creative studio to implement new and innovative formats into our creative efforts.
Strong leadership skills are essential. You'll guide the creative studio team to achieve project goals while fostering innovation and capacity development. This includes spearheading new initiatives, conducting internal campaign wrap-ups, and leading knowledge-sharing sessions to benefit the broader team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES
Develop creative concepts, strategies and lead the team to implement them in a cross-disciplinary manner (media, social, comms, activations) to establish smart, creative approaches for each brief
Help develop strategy, vision, and concepts, design & copy direction, and provide hands-on guidance to both internal and external teams
Champion and generate ideas around innovative and effective digital communications
Improve brand awareness and consideration in key markets via strong and insight-led creative campaigns
Partner with internal brand teams on new business initiatives and work as the creative lead on campaigns
Ensuring a high standard of visual & copy execution across all media and campaigns
Constantly improve and evolve the creative processes and workflow that the creative community within Alshaya adheres to when it comes to campaign creation
Inspiring and motivating through the application of fresh and inventive creative work
Reviewing the work of designers and copywriters and providing direction and feedback
Uncovering new ways to incorporate emerging and new media formats into campaigns
Work closely with creative partner agencies from content creation to full scale production and lead on those creative productions across different mediums
Inspire, mentor, and train more junior creatives to create usable ideas that streamline solutions across existing and emerging platforms, setting copy & design standards for the team and department
Collaborate closely with brand marketing teams to develop new and innovative ways to become more relevant to key customers
Expertise
Extensive experience in conceptual and creative strategy and thinking
Keen eye for design, visuals and an ability to tie design language with overarching creative concept and strategy
Strong grasp of creative copywriting in both English and Arabic with an ability to articulate creative ideas and concepts well
Lead on collaborative workflows with partner agencies and manage projects between them and brand teams and input your vision and expertise when necessary
Strong presentation and pitching ability
Technical Knowledge
Design and/or strong copy creation from a strategic and conceptual level
Ability to work with a medley of AI tools (whether LLMs or more design centric tools)
Adobe Suite knowledge & proficiency
Understanding full production processes
Insight
Excellent Written and verbal communication in both Arabic & English
Strong drive to ensure all creative work is powered by a strategic vision
Analyse workflow processes and understand where efficiencies and effectiveness can be improved and streamlined
Able to leverage data and insights and find key points off which campaign concepts and creatives are rooted

Work seamlessly with other members of the wider marketing team to provide support down to brands/ campaigns to ensure that projects are delivered in line with set processes and procedures, and in accordance with regional strategies, goals, and objectives.

EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
Key Skills
Proven experience in the creative industry
Significant experience strategizing & conceptualizing for multiple interfaces and platforms in an agency
A deep understanding of creative disciplines, including concept development and execution
Understanding of brand strategy & communication
Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, InDesign, and other graphic design software
Agency experience is a plus
5+ years in a similar role
Arabic Speaker is a must
Strong presentation skills are also a must
Preferred Skills
Experience in and of MENA (Middle East & North Africa) markets
A strong knowledge of typography, image manipulation, illustration and animation
Background in either visual design or copy or creative strategy
AI workflow knowledge
