As a Rating Advisory Associate, you will assist in providing advice and support to our clients on acquiring and managing their credit ratings. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to develop their expertise in rating advisory services and gain in-depth knowledge of credit rating processes and methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support senior advisors in delivering comprehensive credit rating advisory services to clients.
- Help in the preparation of preliminary rating analyses, advisory reports, client pitch presentations that discuss credit strategies and outcomes.
- Assist in the review of clients' financial data, industry and peer data, and market trends to support strategic advice on credit ratings.
- Participate in preparing data packs, rating presentations, and Q&A and recommendations for the clients’ management to support them in the rating process.
- Participate in meetings with clients to understand their needs and discuss potential strategies for credit rating improvement.
- Support the coordination of communication between clients and credit rating agencies, ensuring that all parties are aligned and informed.
- Aid in conducting educational sessions for clients to enhance their understanding of credit ratings, including factors that impact ratings and strategies for improvement.
- Keep up-to-date with financial market trends and changes in credit rating methodologies and standards.
- Help maintain client relationships by providing timely responses and follow-ups on inquiries and concerns.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; further education or certifications in financial analysis (CFA, etc.) or a related field are beneficial.
- 1-2 years of experience in financial services, credit analysis, or rating advisory; experience in a client-facing role is a plus.
- Basic understanding of rating processes and methodologies (Fitch, Moody’s, S&P).
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with financial models and data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on relationship building.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage tasks independently when required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
