IT Project Manager

Summary The IT Project Manager will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of IT projects for our clients, from initial requirements gathering to project closure. He will work closely with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. There will be significant travelling and working away a lot within the UK and Europe. Job Responsibility • Develop and manage project plans and schedules • Identify and manage project risks • Manage project budgets and resources • Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders • Track project progress and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) • Identify and implement process improvements • Mentor and develop project team members Design, implement, and support a wide range of IT systems and infrastructure technologies, including: • Servers • Networks • Storage • Virtualization • Cloud computing • Security Maintain and support existing IT systems and infrastructure, including: • Installing and configuring updates and patches • Troubleshooting and resolving issues Monitor and troubleshoot IT systems and infrastructure issues, including: • Identifying and resolving performance issues • Investigating and resolving security incidents • Providing support to customers during outages and other incidents • Perform capacity planning and performance tuning to ensure that IT systems and infrastructure are meeting the needs of the clients • Document and track all support tickets • Provide procedural documentation and relevant reports for process standardization and proper work handover • Comply with company policies and procedures to upkeep the quality and integrity of the CreateIT brand, values, and services • May undertake other tasks and duties as necessary and required • Stay up-to-date on the latest IT project management methodologies and best practices

Key Skills • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) • Extensive knowledge of the installation and configuration of computer network components – routers, switches, firewalls, access points, cabling, Aruba networking, Clearpass, Cisco meraki, Ubiquiti • Extensive knowledge of computer network design, security, virtualization, and automation • Experience in deploying and managing servers, SANs, volumes, and shares • Extensive knowledge of VPN, and remote support tools and technologies • Experience with PBX and CCTV systems • Knowledge of IT security best practices, solutions, and technologies • Expert in monitoring and troubleshooting IT systems and network infrastructure issues • Experience with IT service management (ITSM) tools and processes • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, and ability to work autonomously • Customer-focused attitude and commitment to providing excellent service • Ability to work independently and as part of a team Education / Experience • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology and/or relevant field • Certifications in PMP or ITIL are a plus • Experience with project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana) is a plus • Proven experience managing projects from inception to completion • Comprehensive experience with various IT infrastructure and systems, including Windows, Linux, and macOS operating systems and applications, computer hardware and peripherals • IT certification that validates skills required to manage and optimize computer networks • IT certification that validates skills required to manage and support cloud solution areas • 5+ years in an IT systems and network administration role
