Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
• Monitor and record patients' vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
• Support patients in mobility and exercise, ensuring their physical comfort and safety.
• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by performing light housekeeping duties.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, fostering a positive and caring atmosphere.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide updates on patient care and condition.
• Assist in the administration of medications under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician.
• Follow established care plans and protocols to ensure consistent and high-quality patient care.
• Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification as a Health Care Assistant or completion of a relevant training program.
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
