Veterinary Assistant

Employment: Full Time

Responsibilities:

  • Assist veterinarians with examinations, procedures, and surgeries.
  • Prepare and maintain examination rooms, equipment, and supplies.
  • Monitor and record animal health and behavior.
  • Provide nursing care and administer medications as directed.
  • Assist with diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures.
  • Educate pet owners on care and treatment plans.
  • Handle animal restraints and ensure their comfort and safety.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling and billing.


Skills

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care environment is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of animal care and medical terminology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle animals with care and patience.
  • Good organizational and multitasking abilities.
