Hotel room service staff

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Orders: Promptly deliver food and beverage orders to guest rooms, ensuring that orders are accurate and presented professionally.
  • Guest Interaction: Provide excellent customer service by being courteous, friendly, and attentive to guests' needs and preferences.
  • Order Taking: Accurately take room service orders via phone, ensuring all details are correctly recorded and communicated to the kitchen staff.
  • Setup and Presentation: Ensure that food and beverage trays are set up correctly and attractively. Verify that all ordered items are included before delivery.
  • Cleanliness and Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the room service area, including trays, carts, and service stations.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in managing and replenishing room service inventory, including linens, cutlery, and other supplies.
  • Adherence to Standards: Follow hotel policies and procedures, including safety and sanitation standards.
  • Problem Resolution: Address and resolve guest complaints or issues promptly and professionally, escalating to the Room Service Manager when necessary.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, housekeeping, and other hotel departments to ensure seamless service delivery.


Skills

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience in room service or a similar hospitality role is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy items for extended periods.
  • Availability: Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
