Site Supervisor

Job Summary:

As a site supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily activities at a designated worksite. You will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with established plans and specifications.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision of Activities: Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of workers and subcontractors at the worksite. Ensure that work is being performed in compliance with project plans, specifications, and applicable building codes.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety inspections and toolbox talks to promote awareness and adherence to safety regulations.
  • Quality Control: Monitor workmanship and materials to ensure that construction meets quality standards set forth in project plans and specifications. Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Schedule Management: Develop and maintain a construction schedule in coordination with project managers and subcontractors. Monitor progress against the schedule and make adjustments as needed to ensure timely completion of the project.
  • Material and Equipment Management: Coordinate the delivery of materials and equipment to the worksite as needed. Ensure that materials are properly stored, handled, and utilized to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for communication between project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders. Keep all parties informed of project progress, issues, and changes in a timely manner.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of construction activities, including daily reports, progress photos, and as-built drawings. Ensure that all required documentation is complete and organized for project closeout.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve construction-related problems and conflicts that may arise during the course of the project. Work collaboratively with project team members to develop creative solutions and mitigate risks.
  • Cost Control: Monitor project costs and expenditures to ensure that construction activities are within budgetary constraints. Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements where possible.

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field (preferred).
  • Previous experience in Fit out/Construction supervision or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and materials.
  • Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
