Responsibilities:

• Installation:
• Install new HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, furnaces, ventilation systems, and heat pumps.
• Ensure all installations are performed to manufacturer specifications and local building codes.
• Work with blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to complete installations.
• Maintenance:
• Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
• Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and perform preventive maintenance tasks.
• Clean and replace air filters, ducts, and other components as needed.
• Repairs:
• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system malfunctions and breakdowns.
• Repair or replace defective components such as motors, compressors, and thermostats.
• Ensure all repairs are performed efficiently and meet safety standards.
• Customer Service:
• Communicate with clients to explain HVAC system issues, maintenance needs, and repair options.
• Provide recommendations for improving system performance and energy efficiency.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality service and maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Compliance and Safety:
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations during installation, maintenance, and repair activities.
• Maintain accurate records of all service calls, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Stay up-to-date with industry standards, best practices, and advancements in HVAC technology.

Skills

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in HVAC is preferred.
• 2-4 years of experience as an HVAC Technician.
• EPA Section 608 certification (Type I, II, or Universal) is required.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and operation.
• Proficient in using tools and equipment related to HVAC maintenance and repair.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, lift heavy equipment, and perform physically demanding tasks.
