Black & Grey HR is recruiting for a leading structure steel company in Sharjah, UAE. Our client is looking to hire a Project Engineer will lead the planning, execution, and completion of various projects, ensuring they meet the defined scope, budget, and quality standards. The role involves coordinating with site staff, managing resources, maintaining safety protocols, and providing technical support. The Project Engineer will also serve as a liaison between the site and project teams, ensuring effective communication and timely progress updates to stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and implementation of assigned projects from inception to completion.
- Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Develop detailed project plans, including tasks, resource requirements, and timelines.
- Assemble and coordinate project staff, ensuring clear roles and responsibilities.
- Maintain control over project costs, ensuring budgets are adhered to.
- Ensure quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project timelines, ensuring milestones and deadlines are achieved.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks that could impact project success.
- Raise and manage inspections at the site, including Work Inspection Reports (WIR) and Material Inspection Reports (MIR), ensuring timely approvals.
- Maintain site Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) procedures and policies.
- Ensure accurate setting out of works in accordance with contract or approved shop drawings.
- Ensure preparation of Method Statements, Inspection & Test Plans, with a focus on site safety.- Ensure that supervisors implement Method Statements and Inspection & Test Plans as work progresses.
- Conduct daily meetings with Main Contractor Project Managers to update on progress and address any urgent work or execution requirements.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on all aspects of the project, including progress, issues, and requirements.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Atleast 6 years of experience in executing steel construction projects.
- Must have exposure to steel fabrication and erection works.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
