Job description
The successful candidates will be responsible to generate and secure new business and retain renewal business to achieve and exceed the company’s business and operational objectives in a profitable manner consistent with high standard of professionalism and client satisfaction.
What you will do:
- Development of New Insurance Products
The job holder participates in the development and introduction of new insurance products which meets the changing business requirements in the local and international market
- Marketing Strategy
Develop an effective marketing strategy in consultation with the Senior Managing Director and other members of the management team and prepare plans to implement the same in an efficient manner in order to improve the image and market share of the company
- Broker, Branches\Agency Business Development
Prepare effective plans and monitor the performance and control the business generated through designated Brokers, Branches and agencies to increase the profitability of the company
- Premium Collections (Outstandings)
Review and monitor the premiums dues from the clients/brokers in order to minimise the credit risk exposure
- Management Reports
Collect and collate information about business and market conditions and data related thereto, prepare reports and formulate appropriate recommendations for Management Information & Decision Making in order to counter competition
- Client Services\ Satisfaction
Ensure that the effective and efficient service is provided to the clients, brokers and agencies
- Selection\Appointment of Agents, Development Officers & Brokers
Identify and recruit in consultation with Senior Managing Director, highly motivated and experienced field and sales staff, & appoint brokers agents in order to effectively cover and exploit the market potentials for generating higher revenues

What equips you for the role:
- Minimum Required - Bachelor’s Degree (Commerce/Science / Arts / Business Administration)
- Desired - Associate of Chartered Insurance Institute, London or equivalent
- Having over 4-6 years of work experience in the field in a senior managerial position handling similar job responsibilities
- Experience and sound technical knowledge in general Insurance with particular emphasis on Marine, Hull & Cargo, Non Marine, Motor, Life & Medical
- Ability to prioritize workload in meeting deadlines and agreed TAT
