Sales and Proposal Manager

The Sales and Proposal Manager is responsible for driving sales growth and managing client relationships for the company’s product offerings, including pressure vessels, skid packages, filter packages, and pipe spools. This role encompasses strategic sales planning, proposal development, and achieving yearly sales targets. The Sales and Proposal Manager will lead a support team member responsible for estimations and ensure successful client engagement throughout the sales process.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales Strategy Development:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to penetrate and grow market share in the pressure vessel, skid package, filter package, and pipe spool sectors.

- Identify target markets and client segments for new business development.

2. Client Relationship Management:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while actively seeking new opportunities and leads.

- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and effectively.

3. Sales Target Achievement:

- Meet or exceed assigned yearly sales targets and KPIs through proactive sales strategies and initiatives.

- Analyze sales performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed to achieve goals.

4. Proposal Development:

- Oversee the preparation of proposals and bids in collaboration with the estimation support person.

- Ensure that proposals are tailored to meet client needs, are technically sound, and are competitive in the marketplace.

5. Market Research and Intelligence:

- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape.

- Utilize data to inform sales strategies and adjust offerings accordingly.

6. Sales Presentations and Negotiations:

- Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations to potential clients, showcasing the company’s capabilities and solutions.

- Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.

7. Collaboration with Internal Teams:

- Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure alignment between sales commitments and operational capabilities.

- Communicate customer feedback and industry trends to relevant departments for continuous improvement.

8. Sales Reporting and Analysis:

- Provide regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and market developments to management.

9. Team Leadership and Development:

- Lead and mentor the estimation support person, fostering professional growth and skill development.

- Encourage a results-oriented team environment focused on achieving sales excellence.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.

- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in industrial manufacturing, particularly in pressure vessels, skid packages, filter packages, and pipe spools.

- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing client relationships.

- Strong understanding of technical products and industry standards.
