Operations Executive

  • Receive booking details from network and customer service colleagues via email.
  • Check invoice, packing list and other documents of Import/export shipments.
  • Coordinate with the shipper/customer service team for any discrepancy on shipping documents.
  • Arrange all documents required as per import/export requirements.
  • Receiving cash/cheque from customers in regard to clearance shipment/delivery order collection and accounting the same to finance.
  • Ensure complete documents (as per requirements) are handed over to customs clearance team.
  • Arrange delivery/collection of cargo in appropriate vehicle in coordination with the transport vendor or transport.
  • Coordinate with transport department/vendors for delivery of shipments/proof of delivery.
  • Ensure that all job files are maintained.
  • Coordinate with third parties, sales and finance to meet operational requirements.
  • Resolve issues regarding cargo shortage/ damage/ claims.
  • Develop and maintain a healthy relationship with internal and external customers.
  • Ensure timely and effective communication takes place within defined time limits.
  • Provide necessary information to internal staff.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship at all levels.
  • Ensure KPI’s are met and reported on a monthly basis.
  • Fulfill any and all other tasks as deemed fit by Management.

Skills


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or a similar discipline
  • Minimum 1 year of work experience working in a freight forwarding company (operations department), handling air & sea shipments
  • Proficient in all Microsoft office applications (Excel, Word and power point)
  • Excellent communication skills
