Key Responsibilities:
● Diagnosis and Repair:
● Diagnose electrical issues in vehicles, including but not limited to wiring, lighting, battery,
and ignition systems.
● Repair or replace faulty wiring, switches, fuses, relays, and other electrical components.
● Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot electrical problems
accurately.
● Installation and Maintenance:
● Install new electrical systems and components in vehicles, such as alarms, GPS
systems, radios, and additional lighting.
● Perform regular maintenance checks on electrical systems to ensure they are
functioning properly.
● Upgrade vehicle electrical systems as per customer requirements or industry standards.
● Battery and Charging Systems:
● Test and replace vehicle batteries, alternators, and starters.
● Ensure that charging systems are functioning correctly and perform necessary repairs or
replacements.
● Safety Systems:
● Inspect and repair vehicle safety systems, including airbags, ABS, traction control, and
other electronic safety features.
● Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards during repairs and
installations.
● Documentation and Reporting:
● Maintain accurate records of repairs, installations, and maintenance work performed on
vehicles.
● Report any issues or potential problems to the Workshop Manager or Lead Technician.
● Provide detailed explanations of work performed to customers when required.
● Tools and Equipment:
● Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
● Keep tools and work areas organized, clean, and in good working condition.
● Customer Service:
● Communicate with customers to understand their electrical problems and provide expert
advice.
● Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely and efficient repairs.
Skills
Qualifications:
● Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an Automobile Electrician.
● Education: Diploma or certification in Automotive Electrical Systems or a related field.
● Skills:
● Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems and components.
● Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
● Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
● Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
● Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver’s license; certification from a recognized
automotive training institute is a plus.
● Language: Basic proficiency in English; knowledge of other languages like Arabic or
Hindi is an advantage.
