Warehouse Assistant

The Warehouse Assistant plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient, accurate, and compliant distribution of pharmaceutical products. This position involves receiving, storing, and shipping pharmaceutical goods while adhering to industry regulations and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Inventory Management:
  • Receive and inspect incoming pharmaceutical shipments for accuracy and quality.
  • Verify and document product quantities, expiration dates, and batch numbers.
  • Properly store pharmaceutical products in accordance with regulatory guidelines and company procedures.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy.
  • Manage and record any discrepancies or damaged goods.
  1. Order Fulfillment:
  • Pick, pack, and prepare pharmaceutical orders for shipment in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure accurate labeling and documentation for all outgoing shipments.
  • Coordinate with shipping carriers and manage transportation logistics.
  1. Regulatory Compliance:
  • Adhere to Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and other relevant pharmaceutical regulations.
  • Maintain proper records and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Follow established procedures for handling and disposing of expired or recalled products.
  1. Safety and Cleanliness:
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling practices.
  • Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions promptly.
  1. Customer Service:
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries related to orders, inventory, and delivery status.
  • Assist with resolving any issues related to shipping or product quality.
  1. Team Collaboration:
  • Work collaboratively with other warehouse staff and departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist with training new team members as needed.


Skills

Bachelor's degree or equivalent; additional education or certifications in warehousing or logistics is a plus.

Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution role, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.

Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and Good Distribution Practice (GDP) is highly desirable.

Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse management systems.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Good organizational and time-management skills.

Ability to lift and move heavy items and perform physical tasks as required.
