Quality Control Inspector

Quality Control Inspector is responsible to examine products and materials for defects or deviations from specifications for the packaging division (Paper Cup, Extrusion, Thermoforming, Lids, Cling Film & Printing)


  • Read blueprints and relevant product specifications
  • Monitor operations to ensure that they meet production standards & customer requirements
  • Recommend adjustments to the assembly or production process in accordance with the specification
  • Inspect, test, or measure materials or products being received/produced / ready to dispatch in accordance with Quality Plan.
  • Remove / Identify products and materials that fail to meet specifications in accordance with Quality Plan.
  • Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products and ensure any non-conformity is highlighted to the line manager
  • Report inspection and test data as per Quality Plan and maintain records as per the procedure.
  • Visit customer-based online Manager’s instructions to understand customer complaints (if any)
  • Responsible to buy off the product and segregating the defective products accordingly as per the defect criteria.
  • Ensure the full accountability of the inspected products.
  • Responsible to provide the daily/weekly summary report of individual tasks performed to the supervisor
  • Perform Test and visual online inspection of products to conform to standard specifications (like Dimensions, Thickness, weight, colour, etc...) as per the interval stipulated in the sampling plan.
  • Ensure executing the daily job schedule as planned as per the instruction of the line manager.
  • Maintain relevant records and documents as per the procedure.
  • Support the Department during ISO and other audits.


Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in a packaging division (Paper Cup, Extrusion, Thermoforming, Lids, Cling Film & Printing)


Education Requirement

  • Diploma in Quality Control management or equivalent
  • On–the–job training marketing


Required Skill & Abilities

  • Dexterity: A quality control inspector should be able to quickly remove sample parts or products during the manufacturing process.
  • Math skills. Knowledge of basic math and computer skills are important because measuring, calibrating, and calculating specifications are major parts of quality control testing.
  • Mechanical skills. A Quality control inspector must be able to use specialized tools and machinery when testing products.
  • Physical stamina. A Quality control inspector must be able to stand for long periods on the job.
  • Physical strength. Because workers sometimes lift heavy objects, inspectors should be in good physical condition.
  • Technical skills. A Quality control inspector must understand blueprints, technical documents, and manuals, ensuring that products and parts meet quality standards.
